90 Day New Testament Challenge

A few years back I completed the 90 Day Bible Challenge during which I read the entire bible in 90 days.  It was a great experience that I chronicled on my blog HERE.  Well,  tomorrow, on Wednesday, April 8, I will start the 90 Day New Testament Challenge.  Instead of reading the entire Bible in 90 days, this time I will focus on reading the New Testament in chronological order.  I’m really looking forward to it, especially fitting the events of the gospels together.

I’d love it if some of you would take me up on the challenge and join me in this 90-day adventure.  It’ll be nice to check in each week to share what we’re learning and how God is blessing us.  Leave a comment on the blog and let me know if you decide to join in.  The more, the merrier.

I’m going to use the Chronological New Testament reading plan from the BibleStudyTools.com website.  They have a list of several Bible reading plans from which to choose.  At first, I was going to do a 2-year plan, then a 1-year plan, but I finally decided that 90 days was a good time period.  When the 90 days are up and I finish the challenge, I plan to start another one that focuses on the Old Testament.  Maybe you’ll join me in that one, too.

Let’s get started.  Though you don’t need to create an account on BibleStudyTools.com to get the reading plan, I decided to create one.  I did that by logging in with my Facebook account.  Then I went to the Reading Plans page.  I got there by selecting Read from the top navigation menu and then Reading Plans from the dropdown menu.  Once I was on the Reading Plans page, I selected Chronological New Testament from the list of available plans.  After I selected the plan, I then selected Continue which took me to the scripture reading for the first day.  On that page, I was able to select the Bible translation that I wanted to use.  I chose the New Living Translation, but they have about every translation out.  If you just want the plan without creating an account, you can find it HERE.
